Bonnievale Chess Tournament

On 21 October 2023, one of South Africa's biggest chess competitions took place in Bonnievale to put an end to hopelessness and despair.

The idea therefore is to inspire the youth to rise above their circumstances, make plans and learn that there is always a next move. They should look forward to something great and amazing.

The chess competition was organised with a high production value and prize money. The competition was free for all children from local schools. Around 350 players took part in the competition.
