Warmth and Protection for Children in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine is hitting the most vulnerable hardest: children. Many of them live in social care facilities or spend hours in shelters during air raid alerts. It is precisely in these places that there is often a lack of things we take for granted—warmth, comfort, and a sense of security.

Together with our project partner Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V., we want to help in precisely this area.

Aid that reaches the children directly

The Chance Jugend Foundation supports Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V. in providing concrete aid to children in Ukraine.

Our first joint project was the donation of 55 high-quality sleeping bags to two facilities in the Mykolaiv Oblast.

Thirty sleeping bags were delivered to a municipal facility in Pivdennoukrajinsk. There, children facing particularly difficult life circumstances are cared for and receive round-the-clock support.

Another 25 sleeping bags went to the Center for Social Child Protection in Voznesensk. They are used there in shelters to better protect children from the cold during air raid alerts.

More Than Just a Sleeping Bag

A sleeping bag means more than just warmth.

It offers a sense of security in a time of uncertainty. It helps children find some peace even in shelters and cope better with difficult situations.

Especially in crisis areas, it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference.

Giving Hope Together

The Chance Jugend Foundation, together with Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V., aims to continue providing support wherever children urgently need help.

Our goal is to provide quick and unbureaucratic aid—exactly where it’s needed. Because every child deserves protection, warmth, and the chance for a better future.
