Feeding Scheme at HoH

The main purpose of "House of Hope and Glory" is to provide the many poor children in Kranshoek with a meal at least once a day. Kranshoek is a neighbourhood of Plettenberg Bay where predominantly black people live, who are affected by poverty and have few opportunities to find work. As a result, they have little chance of earning a living and feeding their children adequately.

Support for children and young people

Every day, up to 200 children and young people receive lunch after school. Three to four volunteers provide the young people with a warm meal. After the meal, chess and reading lessons as well as soccer training are offered to provide the children with additional educational and leisure opportunities.

Successes in the year 2024

An impressive 15,492 plates of hot food were served in the first half of 2024! This commitment demonstrates the positive impact of the project and the significant support it provides to the community.
