Don Bosco Nivas is an accomodation for street children in Trivandrum, India, located near the train and the bus station. Most of the children come from other regions of India. The goal of Don Bosco Nivas is to bring them back to their families or to find a foster family. Only in cases where no family can be found, children stay at the hostel, where they go to school and are offered different leisure time activities. One important part of the support is craft-therapy. Children can learn how to spend their time with arts or manual work which provides them with a lot of fun, helps them to experience success and supports their persistence.
