Ki.Ku Bamberg - Children's Culture

Culture for all children in Bamberg. The Ki.ku Bamberg cultural initiative offers a wide range of programmes for this purpose. Experience concerts, discover your own talents with a musical instrument or take part in exciting music projects. That is Ki.ku Bamberg. Unmistakably good.

kon:TAKT Music
Trying out instruments, composing songs, inventing music stories or performing on stage as a band - all possible with the "kon:Takt Musik!" project for kindergartens and schools. The focus is on creative interaction with music. The flexible programme consists of at least two teaching units

MusikStar
In cooperation with the Bamberg Music Centre, the cultural initiative "Ki.ku Bamberg" promotes the affordable "MusikStar" and "MusikStar Pro" lessons at the MusikSchule in the MZB. Here, children and young people have more opportunities to learn their favourite instrument straight away.

The Chance Jugend Stiftung supports these projects in order to make access financially possible, especially for disadvantaged children.

Music for young ears
The cultural initiative "Ki.ku Bamberg" reached over 900 enthusiastic children, parents and musicians with the family concerts "Music for young ears".

The concerts with extraordinary music and exciting stories are a special experience for the young listeners. The special encore at every concert: trying out instruments.

"A suitcase with ears"!
An intercultural orchestra of 20 children aged 6-12 of different nationalities and countries of origin composed a piece of music entitled "A suitcase with ears!" under the guidance of 3 music teachers at the Bamberg Music Centre.

Professional instrumental lessons promoted the education of musically interested children and young people who have educational disadvantages due to migration. The planned workshops and concerts were able to promote rapprochement and understanding between the cultures.
